Bamboo is a reinvention of the baby stroller with the consideration of improving sustainability yet delivering a frictionless experience.

The chassis is made out of molded bamboo composite plastic, and mechanical structures are rearranged to simplify the assembly.

The reversible construction enables bamboo to be disassembled up to 90% at the end of the life cycle; and recycled to the greatest extent.

The chassis frames and the joints are injection-molded with the in-mold texture to prevent pollution by the depainting process in recycling.

Bamboo plastic needs a lower temperature for production than metal, therefore the manufacturing process is more energy-efficient with lower environmental impact than metal-framed strollers.

Replacing rivets with tamper-resistant screws for easier disassembling yet protecting modification from users.

Based on the research, adjusting the handlebar height and folding the stroller always happen simultaneously, this two-step lock fulfills the needs with a compact form factor

Thanks to the excellent flexibility of the bamboo plastic,  the suspension is organically integrated into the wheel module.

Recyclable and modular design leads us to reimagine the lifecycle of the stroller, from the research we find out that nearly 40% of stroller users today are using used strollers given by their friends or bought from third-party retailers. It's a big potential market for Graco to explore.
We designed this refurbish system to encourage people to trade in their used strollers to retailers. After refurbished by Graco, the strollers can be resold as refurbished ones at a lower price.
This system not only provides more buying options but also builds a circular lifecycle for strollers, which is the ultimate goal of a sustainable Graco
